Stocktake Saturday 12 – 2014

March 29, 2014 Stocktake Saturday 2

Welcome to Stocktake Saturday! This feature is where I share some bookish news with you and then show you all the bookish goodies I got over the week.

The cover reveals from the last week – (links to Goodreads pages)

  • Half a King (Shattered Sea #1) by Joe Abercrombie – Voyager cover
  • The Mime Order (The Bone Season #2) by Samantha Shannon

In Bookish News, it’s less than a week until the Divergent movie releases here in Australia!! Yay!! I’m going to a media screening on Wednesday night, so I’ll be posting up my thoughts on Thursday. In the mean time, watch these awesome  featurettes that have been released in anticipation of the movie.

Kate vs. Shailene:

Take a Stand:

Meet Four:

There’s a new Winds of Winter chapter on GRRM’s website. Ignore that it says it posted in Jan 2013, it’s definitely the newest one that went up this week. Martin apparently replaces old excerpts with the new ones on the same post.

Watch the book trailer for Jessica Shirvington’s Disruption!

This week’s reviews:

I’m also Waiting On Out Of Control by Sarah Alderson this week!

Remember to sign up to my new monthly newsletter in the sidebar! I’m really excited about it and hope you love it 🙂 It launches in April and will include my favourite posts from the past month, details about my pick for the monthly must read, a spotlight of an Aussie author, and some upcoming posts and events.

My book hauls, beginning as usual with the physical copies, thanks to Jo Fletcher Books, HarperCollins Australia and Hachette Australia (links to Goodreads):

I also bought:

I hope you have some goodies to share as well, leave your links below and I’ll be sure to visit 🙂

Happy Reading!

Half a King looks very interesting. Thanks for the Divergent clips, they were great, can’t wait to go see the movie. Love the Disruption trailer, can’t wait to read that one. Didn’t get to Sydney to meet her unfortunately.
Sea of Shadows sounds interesting too. Haven’t read anything by Kelley Armstrong yet, maybe that would be a good book to start with.

Thanks for another great stocktake Saturday 🙂
Rochelle Sharpe recently posted…Arc Review: The Strange And Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender.

Yeah I didn’t get to Sydney either, it looked like fun!! I’m very excited about Divergent, can’t wait to see it!

Sea of Shadows is gorgeous – it was a surprise copy from the publisher but it looks great! I have Kelley’s other series but I haven’t read them yet 🙁

      Thanks for hopping by!!
