Ooooh Shaheen pretty books! I’ve heard of like… None of these except for Shadow Study (I didn’t know that series was still going I thought it was a trilogy whuuuut) and Breaking the Rules. Breaking the Rules was pretty good π

Maria V. Snyder did originally write a trilogy but after much fan pestering and because the characters were still in her head, she’s writing a second trilogy π So exciting! I think The Serpent Papers will be super interesting because it’s not the usual kind of fantasy I read: I think it leans more towards a literary novel with creepy magicky stuff thrown in. And Messenger’s Legacy is a novella set in The Demon Cycle world – since you’re on a high fantasy kick, you may enjoy this series! The first book is called The Painted Man or The Warded Man, depending on whether you’re buying the US or UK/AU edition.
