My first Dusty Reads pick for 2012 is Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb. It is the first book in The Farseer Trilogy, which is itself the first trilogy set in the Realm of the Elderlings. The Farseer Trilogy follows the life of FitzChivalry Farseer (Fitz), a trained assassin, in a kingdom called The Six Duchies.
