Hi! Welcome to the second Stocktake Saturday post, where I give you a weekly update on what’s been happening in the book world and with me. Your bookish news for the week:
There have been some absolutely epic cover reveals! Covers for Fuse by Julianna Baggott (Pure #2) and Prodigy by Marie Lu (Legend #2) were revealed, as well as covers of Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, Inferno by Sherrilyn Kenyon (Chronicles of Nick #4) and A Memory of Light by Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan. You can see them here, in all their glory.
In addition to its cover, an excerpt of Prodigy was released at USATodayBooks.

This week I have read and reviewed a number of exciting books:
- Blackbirds by Chuck Wendig – I LOVED this book. Urban Fantasy at it’s best (in my opinion).
- The Peculiars by Maureen Doyle McQuerry – you may have noticed this book is also the monthly Must Read. The review includes an author interview.
- Spellbound by Rachel Hawkins – The final volume of the Hex Hall series left me simultaneously satisfied and wanting more!
- The Black Prism by Brent Weeks – Brilliant! I knew as soon as I finished it, I would want the second book in my hands, but alas, it’s months away.
This week I received the following books for review:
- Blackwood by Gwenda Bond
- Dragon Age Volume 1: The Silent Grove by David Gaider and Alexander Freed – this is the first volume of comics centred around DragonAge the video game. I’m excited to read it!
- Insurgent by Veronica Roth – I got six copies: five for my Australia only giveaway and one for me.

I bought:
- Storm (Elementals #1) by Brigid Kemmerer
- Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Grave Mercy by R. L. LaFevers

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed Stocktake Saturday and keep coming back for more. Happy Reading!
