In Bookish News, Laini Taylor’s e-novella Night of Cake and Puppets (about Mik and Zuzana) will be available in Australia through Hachette AU on November 26th. Also, Perfect Ruin by Lauren DeStefano will be published in Australia on November 1st through HarperCollins AU ๐ Penguin Australia has confirmed that it will be re-releasing Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door in the new covers that will match Isla (which has been pushed back to early 2014, in case you were expecting it this month), so watch out for them.
The second book in the Age of X series, sequel to Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead will be called The Immortal Crown. It will be released on May 29th 2014 by Penguin AU, and the cover will be revealed in the next few weeks.
As you can see above HarperTeen has released the covers for its March-June 2014 titles. There are too many for me to show them all in this post, but you can see them all here.
In case you missed it, Robin Hobb is going to be writing a new trilogy with HarperVoyager (all the happy dancing, yay!) featuring everyone’s favourite characters, Fitz and the Fool, who have previously appeared in 9 Hobb novels. The first book, called Fool’s Assassin, will be published in August 2014.
This week on the blog:
- I’ve beenย Waiting on …ย Empress of the Sunย by Ian McDonald;
- The second SpecFic 101 post is up – we’re talking Big Fat Fantasy recommendations for people who predominantly read YA;
- I shared an interview with Australian author Jennifer Fallon;
- You can still enter my AU only giveaway of Untold and Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan.

My book hauls, beginning as usual with the physical copies, thanks to Simon & Schuster AU, Scholastic AU (links to Goodreads):
- The Impossibility of Tomorrow (Incarnation #2) by Avery Williams
- The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle #2) by Maggie Stiefvater – this was a surprise, since they’d already sent me an ARC, but now I have an amazing finished hardcover as well!

And e-galleys from Netgalley and Edelweiss:
- The Severed Tower (Conquered Earth #2) by J. Barton Mitchell

I must admit that I have to start the Pushing the Limits, Something Strange and Deadly and The Game series. All on my TBR pile, along with so many others ๐
Happy reading for your haul!
Shaheen
Of those, I’ve only read the Pushing the Limits series (they’re really good, get on them!), I have Something Strange and Deadly in hardcover (unread), and didn’t like the cover of Rush, so I was never inclined to read it!
From all the books in this week’s cover reveals, I’m most excited for Defy, Cracks in the Kingdom, Empress of the Sun, Divided We Fall and Deadly Thorns ๐
Rochelle Sharpe
So so so excited to see the cover of The Disappearance of Ember Crow. I was wondering when this was going to come out, feels like I’ve been waiting forever!
And I am also excited for The Cracks in the Kingdom, I loved the first one soooo much.
Thanks for sharing.
