In Bookish News, the US cover of Empower, the final book in Jessica Shirvington’s Embrace series, has been revealed, as well as the first chapter of the book! Read it here.
We’re one step closer to seeing Karou and Akiva on screen! Michael Gracey, a former animator turned commercials director, is going to direct Universal’s adaptation of Laini Taylor’s Daughter of Smoke and Bone.
You can read a snippet of The Forever Song, the third book in Julie Kagawa’s Blood of Eden series, here. Julie warns that “It’s kinda dark”.
Bloomsbury will be releasing illustrated copies of the Harry Potter series, and they have announced that the illustrator will be Kim Jay, and Harry will look a little like this:

I’ve seen After The End on a few STS this week, i can’t wait until someone reviews it so I can read their thoughts. I love the cover of The Eight Day, it’s really striking. That’s a massive haul this week, plenty of awesome reading.

I NEED to get my hands on Champion!
I was consider Black Dog on NG as well… sounds really good but I really need to clear out my approved galleys first so am behaving myself til I’ve read at least half of them, lol -let’s see how long my self-control last!
Fire & Thorns looks really good, will have to check that out.
