Hello! The blog tour for A Tangle of Gold by Jaclyn Moriarty stops by today, and I'm sharing my review! Coming to the end of any series is a bittersweet experience, but reading A Tangle of Gold - the concluding volume in the spellbinding The Colours of Madeleine series - was especially emotional for me. I really enjoyed The Sin Eater’s Daughter! It combines a few refreshingly unique concepts with a cool fantasy world and some interesting characters. It has its flaws, but I could overlook them because of its conceptual brilliance and lush storytelling.

I enjoyed Broken Sky, the first book in The Broken Trilogy from the very first page. Something about it just grabbed me. The setting and the concepts it explored were interesting, and the protagonist was awesome.

Firstly, isn’t that cover gorgeous? It’s what drew me to Those Above in the first place, that beautiful cover with a giant sword that screamed Read Me. And I was further enthralled when I read the synopsis. A human uprising against the Gods? Sign me up. I really enjoyed Those Above. It has moments of brilliance where it transcends expectations, and at all other times is an entertaining and glorious read. I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel!

I’m a sucker for reincarnation stories, so I’ve been looking forward to reading this since I heard about it. I loved The Next Together – the concept is amazing and the execution is brilliant! I loved every moment of my time with all the different versions of Katherine and Matthew. The Next Together transcends the traditional boundaries of genre to give readers a unique story.

Iluminae has to be one of the cleverest books I’ve read in a long time. It’s a brilliantly crafted story that has everything – a terrifying AI, an interstellar war, explosions in space, romance, and dark humour. With its gorgeous artwork and unusual presentation, Iluminae is a feast for the eyes. It’s a vivid, emotional, exciting read that will hook most readers.
