Stocktake Saturday 51

June 8, 2013 Stocktake Saturday 3

Welcome to Stocktake Saturday! This feature is where I share some bookish news with you and then show you all the bookish goodies I got over the week.

The cover reveals from the last week  – (links to Goodreads pages)

In Bookish News, Shadow, the prequel ebook novella to Amanda Sun’s Ink, is available now for download, FREE! Aussie readers can grab it from HarlequinAU, while US fans should head on over to the HarlequinUS page. Other readers should look at the Harlequin website for their region 🙂

As you may already know, HarlequinTeenAU is gearing up for the release of Enmity by E. J. Andrews, an Aussie dystopian YA that will (I’m sure) blow our minds. Here is a picture of the team filming the book trailer. Another great title coming out later in the year by HarelquinTeen is Jason Mott’s The Returned, which I am super excited for. A prequel novella, The First, is available now, and it’s FREE as well! Grab it now. A little about The Returned, if you don’t know – “All over the world people’s loved ones are returning from beyond. No one knows how or why this is happening, whether it’s a miracle or a sign of the end”. Sounds amazing, right? The Australian book trailer, made by HarlequinTeen AU, has also been revealed this week — it’s gotten me ranting and raving about this book before I’ve even gotten my hands on it! *bounces around* Isn’t the trailer amazing? Don’t you just desperately want to read this?

In fact, it seems that many of the HarlequinTeen novellas are FREE right now, in Australia at least. In particular, Katie McGarry’s Crossing the Line is also available for FREE!

Secret, Nick Merrick’s book in the Elementals series by Brigid Kemmerer, is now available for pre-order at Amazon. Click here.

The Between the Lives trailer has just been unleashed upon the world! I love it, it’s so awesome, and if you haven’t read this book yet, WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? Watch it. Love it. Share it.

The third book of the Tempest series by Julie Cross will be titled Timestorm, expected to be published in January 2014 by St. Martin’s Griffin.

This week I’ve been Waiting On … Once We Were by Kat Zhang, and I posted up an exciting interview with Australian authors Garth Nix and Sean Williams to celebrate the release of the third Troubletwisters novel.

My book haul this week, thanks to Bloomsbury Sydney, HarperCollins AU and Harlequin AU (links to Goodreads):

And e-galleys from NetGalley and Edelweiss:

  • Parasite (Parasitology #1) by Mira Grant – Orbit Books/Hachette Book Group
  • Charming (Pax Arcana #1) by Elliott James – Orbit Books/Hachette Book Group
  • The Red Plague Affair (Bannon & Clare #2) by Lilith Saintcrow – Orbit Books/Hachette Book Group
  • Full Blooded (Jessica McClain #1) by Amanda Carlson – Orbit Books/Hachette Book Group
  • Hot Blooded (Jessica McClain #2) by Amanda Carlson – Orbit Books/Hachette Book Group
  • Branded (Sinners #1) by Abi Ketner & Missy Kalicicki – from the authors
  • Control (Shift #2) by Kim Curran – Angry Robot (Strange Chemistry)
  • The Weight of Souls by Bryony Pearce – Angry Robot (Strange Chemistry)

Last time I was 11 books behind in my Read Three, Buy One scheme. I reviewed the following books this week:

  1. Reboot by Amy Tintera
  2. Acid by Emma Pass
  3. Everbound by Brodi Ashton
  4. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
  5. The Apothecary by Maile Meloy

Which leaves me 6 books behind.

I hope you have some goodies to share as well, leave your links below and I’ll be sure to visit 🙂

Happy Reading!

Yay for a lot of free novellas. Ink is free for Kindle too. 🙂
You got Crown of Midnight. I’m so jealous. They rejected my request so I will have to wait with ordinary mortals until the publication date. 😀
I’ve got review copy of Ink too, but so far I haven’t read many positive reviews about that one. I hope it works better for us. 😉
I’ve got Parasite & Charming from NG too. And Hot/Full Blooded some time ago. 🙂
Awesome goodies and news. Thanks for sharing!
New books for me this week…

Yikes, what an exciting post 🙂 The cover of Infinite is stunning and fits perfectly with the other books in the series…which by the way, I can’t believe I haven’t read yet o.O I really need to get on that heh. The Returned was being HUGELY promoted at BEA, like more than any other book! I sure hope it pays off for them because it’s really exciting that they’re venturing off into different book genres 😀 And you got a fantastic haul of books this week: Crown of Midnight?! Eeep, I got that one & Ink but Crown of Midnight is still especially exciting to me! Those Full-Blooded books are on my TBR list as well and I’ve heard great things about All Our Yesterdays & the Confessions series! Happy reading 🙂
