In Bookish News, Angry Robot has announced the acquisition of two epic fantasy books from Anna Kashina. Book I, Blades of the Old Empire, will be published in March 2014, and the as-yet-untitled sequel will follow in July 2014. A little about Blades of the Old Empire:

To save the heir to a throne and his unique magic gift, an elite assassin is forced to choose between honour and duty, and risk everything in the process!

The title for the sequel to Libba Bray’s amazing, magical, creepy The Diviners has been released. Lair of Dreams will be published on April 22nd 2014 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

My book haul, beginning as usual with the physical copies, thanks to Random House AU, Allen & Unwin, Pan Macmillan AU and Strange Chemistry (links to Goodreads):

And e-galleys from Netgalley and Edelweiss:

Last time I was two books ahead in my Read Three, Buy One scheme, and I reviewed the following books this week:

  1. Banish by Nicola Marsh

Which leaves me three books ahead, and one book purchase unlocked 🙂

I hope you have some goodies to share as well, leave your links below and I’ll be sure to visit 🙂

Happy Reading!

I have to say, Chasing the Valley is much better than (I thought) the blurb and cover made it seem. I enjoyed it much more than I was expecting to!

Oh and I’d forgotten about Crewel (and I know you didn’t like it) but I really want to read book 2!
