Stocktake Saturday 72

November 2, 2013 Stocktake Saturday 5

Welcome to Stocktake Saturday! This feature is where I share some bookish news with you and then show you all the bookish goodies I got over the week.

The cover reveals from the last week – (links to Goodreads pages)

In Bookish News, Soulbroken, the sequel to Heather Brewer’s Soulbound, will be published after all! YAY! Well, in the US anyways. So, after being cancelled, and with everyone absolutely freaking out about the cliffhanger at the end of Soulbound and being disappointed about how we aren’t getting the second book in the duology, Heather has posted a new YouTube video announcing that HarperTeen will be publishing Soulbroken as an ebook in Fall 2015 (our Spring). I’m trying to find out whether Soulbroken will be coming out in Australia as well sometime, via PenguinTeen.

The sequel to The Eye of Minds by James Dashner is called The Rule of Thoughts, and will be available in our Spring next year through Random House.

This week I’ve been Waiting on … Evertrue by Brodi Ashton.Β Also, Sean Williams (amazing author person) stopped by to give us an insight into the inspirations behind the Twinmaker series. Read his guest post here.

The other amazing thing that happened is the Jo Fletcher Books sent me a hardback copy of The Tower Broken, with a little note saying that I was quoted on the back flap! Needless to say, I’m so excited about this, and deeply thankful to everyone who’s made this possible, especially all you awesome regular readers πŸ™‚ Here’s a photo of it.

My book hauls, beginning as usual with the physical copies, thanks to Simon & Schuster AU, Bloomsbury Sydney and Jo Fletcher Books (links to Goodreads):

And e-galleys from Netgalley and Edelweiss:

Last time I was twelve books behind in my Read Three, Buy One scheme. This week I reviewed:

  1. Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter
  2. The Corpse-Rat King by Lee Battersby

Which leaves me 10 books behind.

I hope you have some goodies to share as well, leave your links below and I’ll be sure to visit πŸ™‚

Happy Reading!

Wow, the Richelle Mead cover looks NOTHING like the first book. Which is sad, ’cause I quite liked the first cover.

Also, AWESOME being quoted on a hard cover flap. So cool!

Thanks!! I read somewhere that the paperback (US of course) will have a matchy-new-cover, but I haven’t seen it yet. So I don’t know either, but I do NOT like this one for book 2.

It looks really YA. I don’t know why they’re trying to push this book onto YA markets, because it’s not YA.

Congratulations on getting quoted on the Tower Broken flap, so exciting!
Doesn’t the Shimmer cover look so amazing? I love it! Can’t wait to read it. Another great post, looking forward to next week πŸ™‚
