Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up.
Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.
Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic complications—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.
A book with Egyptian Mythology! Sign me up 🙂 I love books with any kind of mythology, but after reading a fair few based on Greek and Norse legends, it’ll be awesome to dip into an Egyptian inspired story. Thematically, The Chaos of Stars seems to follow Paranormalcy – a not-so-normal girl trying to live out a normal life. I hope Isadora isn’t as whiny as Evie, who wanted a normal life, but complained about how boring it was once she got it. I’m really excited for this, and I hope it doesn’t let me down.

This is also on my To Read list. Mythology is awesome! There isn’t enough that’s not the typical paranormal stuff in YA

Kiersten White seems to have a huge variety of books! I’m not really sure if I wanna read this, cause I’m more of a Greek myth person 🙂

Yes, I am definitely Waiting on this one right along with you Shaheen!! Egyptian gods was what got me (beyond that breathtaking cover), I love anything to do with ancient Egypt and mythology! I’ve never read anything by the author yet though…
Anyways, excellent choice 🙂
